Data tools
The NBDC Data Hub offers users two major applications to explore, query, and download data for the ABCD and HBCD studies.
While the applications can be used for similar tasks, they differ with regard to their user interface and offer distinct features. The table below gives an overview of current features as well as planned future directions of the two applications—we encourage users to explore both applications to see what best suits their needs.

NoteUpdates
- An in-situ coding environment for analyses is in the works. Stay tuned for more details.
- DEAP is currently developing in-platform data exploration & analysis modules to enable secure-web based use of the ABCD data. Learn more here.
ImportantData dictionary vs. data acccess
- Users can explore the ABCD Study data dictionary via DEAP’s data dictionary & ontology browser or the NBDC Data Access Platform Query Tool before obtaining a data use certification (DUC). To create custom datasets and download data, users need an active DUC (for more details, see here).
